I’m Jasmine, founder of mindset.
for over a decade, I have worked in social services, support, and advocacy.
I have worked in school settings, community centres, mental health hospitals, martial arts gyms, and alongside youth justice in prevention initiatives. My personal history of mental health challenges, trauma and adversity has deeply informed my work. My healing journey began with martial arts and cognitive therapy 5 years ago.
These modalities expanded over time and now include breathwork, somatic therapy, yin yoga and meditation. I have developed a balance in my own life between the spectrum of more intense practices such as martial arts and gentler practices like yin. This intersection is where Mindset is born.
I have been through the dark places, and I have come out the other side with a deep understanding of what it takes to find strength in the struggle. I now create safe, empowering spaces where others can find their own strength. I do not just teach skills; I help people reconnect with themselves.
My programs are about so much more than physical self-defence or emotional regulation—they are about building confidence, finding balance, and transforming unhealthy patterns into something powerful. I am grateful for every challenge life has thrown my way because they have brought me to this point. And now, I get to give back by helping others find their way.
